If concerns are raised on any issue of quality, health and safety, or human rights, we examine the [scientific] evidence and respond accordingly.

  • Animal Testing

    We are committed to the elimination of all animal testing on all cosmetic products and ingredients worldwide.

  • Lead in Lipstick

    All of our products undergo extensive safety evaluation and testing before being marketed. Lead is not part of the formula for any of our lipsticks.

  • Nanotechnology

    In our continuing efforts to keep our consumers informed, we are sharing the following updated information regarding nanotechnology.

  • Parabens

    We are a consumer-inspired Company and as a result of conversations with our consumers we are phasing out the use of parabens without compromising the integrity of our products.

  • Phthalates

    DBP was removed from Estée Lauder Companies nail polish formulas as of 2004. DEHP is not used in any of our product formulas, and it is our policy not to use DEHP as a component added to packaging materials.

  • Pinkwashing

    We are strong advocates for women and for women’s health.

  • REACH – Consumer, Website, Media Responses

    REACH is an EU chemicals regulation that took effect on June 1, 2007 which affects all industries, including the cosmetic industry. We are abiding by REACH regulations and will continue to do so.

  • Sunscreen Monograph

    We strongly believe in the importance of sun protection.

  • SUPPLIER RELATIONS

    We are committed to protecting human rights within our supply chain. Our suppliers must comply with our Supplier Code of Conduct, the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the principles of California’s Transparency in Supply Chains Act.
