Global Landmarks Illuminations Begin
The BCA Campaign’s Global Landmark Illuminations Initiative is launched by Evelyn H. Lauder to focus attention on the importance of breast health and early detection.
The Human Pink Ribbon
The Ribbon of Light Campaign is launched with hundreds of “human ribbons” holding glowing pink candles, flashlights or balloons around the world to show solidarity in the fight against breast cancer.
Guinness World Record
The BCA Campaign sets a first-time Guinness World Record entitled "Most Landmarks Illuminated for a Cause in 24 Hours."
Awareness to Action
The 2013 Campaign marks a dramatic step for BCA as it serves to shift public focus from awareness to increased action through an interactive digital "Circles of Strength" experience.

Over 2,000 participants took part in the 2012 Pink Ribbon Charity Walk and National Science Museum Illumination in Malaysia. The Walk and Illumination raised a total of over $28,000 for the cause.
