Our Company is committed to high standards for the health and safety of our employees and for protection of the environment. We achieve these standards through continued responsible action in all aspects of our business. Our corporate environmental affairs & safety committee provides the guiding principles and our policies and procedures provide the rules, but it is our people who make the system come alive and turn these principles, policies, and procedures into reality.
All employees have a role to play and a stake in the success of our environmental and safety programs.
The results are evidenced by our excellent safety statistics, waste reduction successes, recycling improvements, and energy conservation. The management systems at all Estée Lauder Companies manufacturing operations are certified by an independent third party to conform to the ISO 14001 standards. In addition, our employee wellness activities, recognition awards, community environmental protection projects, and regular internal communications help us all to be healthier, motivated, involved, and better informed.
We are continually assessing and preparing to move with the times and meet the new challenges to come. Our programs, people and dedication will enable us to meet those challenges. We strive to steadily improve the safety of our employees and our protection of the environment, upon which we all depend.
I encourage you to read and learn about our environmental and safety efforts and I solicit your input to help us with our goal of continuous improvement.
