Emergency Response

All Estée Lauder Companies facilities have detailed emergency response action plans. The plans are designed to address a variety of situations including injuries, spills, fires, and severe weather. Engineering controls and strict operating procedures have minimized the risk of serious incidents at our sites. For example, spill containment systems have virtually eliminated the possibility of environmental spills outside of our sites.

Each facility has trained emergency response personnel who are involved in the containment and clean-up of small spills, while trained contractors are kept on retainer to handle situations beyond the scope of our in-house staff.

Since the globalization of the EHS program in 1994, The Estée Lauder Companies has not had any publicly reportable environmental spills due to adherence to engineering practices and internal SOPs.
