The Estée Lauder Companies realizes that environmental and safety performance is every employee’s responsibility. The annual performance reviews of employees in the manufacturing and related areas are partially based on reaching their sites’ environmental health and safety objectives. Whereas the Company’s long term EHS goals are to approach zero waste and zero accidents, the Company and each facility create annual objectives to improve performance from the previous year. The corporate objectives are set to enhance EHS performance as well as minimizing overall liability to the Corporation.

The performance at each Operations’ facility performance in relation to these objectives is discussed at monthly meetings with senior management. This allows a forum to benchmark ideas, projects and programs throughout the organization as well as analyze trends on a monthly basis.
