It is the goal of The Estée Lauder Companies and our many Brands to provide consumers with a wide range of high-quality sun protection products. We welcome the work being done globally by organizations including the European Commission and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to improve sunscreen education and standardize labeling of products, testing and claims. We strongly believe in the importance of sun protection and support the efforts to lessen confusion and improve the information available to consumers when purchasing sun care products.
We continuously track new recommendations and requirements on a global basis. When the final FDA sunscreen regulations are promulgated we will comply.1 In the EU, we will be phasing in new in-sun products that follow the EU recommendations.
The first of the new products will begin appearing in stores in the EU during Spring/Summer 2008.
