Matthew Growdon is President, Asia-Pacific and Travel Retail Worldwide. In his role, Mr. Growdon is responsible for overseeing Global Travel Retail and our business in Asia-Pacific, including Australia and New Zealand; Hong Kong SAR of China; Japan; Singapore; South Korea; and Taiwan, China.
With more than two decades of experience spanning multiple brands, functions, geographies, and cultures, Mr. Growdon possesses a deep understanding of our dynamic and diverse consumer landscape. Since his appointment as President, Asia-Pacific in 2022, he has advanced the company’s positioning in the region through a robust distribution diversification strategy, strategically investing in pivotal markets and categories to accelerate high-potential opportunities while pivoting agilely to various e-commerce platforms.
Previously, in 2020, Mr. Growdon was appointed President of the Japan affiliate, where he led a significant transformation of the business. His efforts included an organisational redesign, diversification of channel strategies, and capability building, as well as overseeing the establishment of the Sakura Manufacturing Campus. In 2017, he assumed the role of Senior Vice President and General Manager of Estée Lauder International, based in New York, where he leveraged his consumer-centric approach, leadership acumen, and market expertise to spearhead the Estée Lauder brand’s continued international growth.
Mr. Growdon has also served as Vice President and General Manager for Estée Lauder and TOM FORD BEAUTY in both the Asia-Pacific and EMEA regions, which included overseeing the successful launch of TOM FORD BEAUTY in Asia. He first joined the Company in 2002 in the South Africa affiliate, serving as a Brand General Manager across multiple brands.
Mr. Growdon resides in Hong Kong with his wife and two children.
