During his leadership of the Estée Lauder brand from 2016 to 2022, Stéphane harnessed growth opportunities, including hero products, digital-first and data-led marketing, new technologies, and high-growth channels. These strategies enabled the brand to engage a diverse consumer base and led it to become a top brand among Chinese consumers. He has also played an instrumental role in enhancing ELC’s fragrance portfolio during a pivotal moment for the category, adeptly navigating industry shifts and evolving consumer behaviours to create a powerful engine of growth. Stéphane has also shepherded and scaled smaller brands including the integration and expansion of industry disruptor, The Ordinary, as part of ELC’s acquisition of DECIEM.
Stéphane’s strength as an inclusive and empathic leader and his ability to balance emotional inspiration, authenticity and strategic insights to drive long-term, sustainable growth, have helped him successfully build his portfolio of brands and nurture a winning leadership team. As President and CEO, Stéphane is deeply committed to fostering a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability at ELC.
Prior to joining The Estée Lauder Companies, Stéphane served as General Manager, Giorgio Armani USA, a division of L'Oréal Paris.
