Rohini

Retail Skin Care Expert, Clinique, UK&I

What is your title and how long have you been with The Estée Lauder Companies?
I've recently started a new role as a Retail Skin Care Expert, and I have been with Clinique for 21 years.

What inspired you to work for ELC?
After moving to the UK, my skin went through a complete breakout. I got introduced to Clinique's 3-Step Skin Care System, and I fell in love with the products and decided to join the company. Clinique has excellent training programmes, and being a keen learner has helped me confidently connect, communicate, and help clients create routines that address their skin care needs.

How would you describe your current job to someone outside the beauty industry?
Eventful! My current job enables me to unleash my creativity and create content to promote our brand worldwide. It’s a joy to assist people from all walks of life, all skin tones and age groups, in achieving their best skin and makeup for their special moments. My role also involves supporting various exclusive member events that take place in our retailers, as well as events for new product launches, which get me excited as there is always such a buzz! It's like a never-ending party, and you meet generations of families throughout the years of loyal clients, and you keep learning along the way.

What excites you about coming to work every day?
What excites me most is who I will meet and how I will enrich their experience and make them memorable. The interactions and connections define my day.

What opportunities for career development have you been offered at ELC?
I have been fortunate to have been involved with many training programmes—Accreditation, Clinical Consultant, and Skin Advisory Consultant. I was also chosen to be on the Advisory Panel for Clinique, where every few months there are meetings with the global team regarding launches and client feedback. I am a part of the esteemed QVC team for Clinique—this has been a highlight of my career so far!

How would you describe the culture at The Estée Lauder Companies to your friends and family?
The culture at ELC is inclusive and diverse. Consultants are encouraged to share their culture and festivals. We also have Employee Resource Groups in place, and I am part of the Families@Work and Mental Health & Wellbeing ERGs. I am immensely passionate about this, and it prompted me to successfully complete the Train the Trainer certified facilitator programme for High Touch Inclusion, How We Work Together, & Why It Matters.

What is your ELC must-have product?
My current obsession is the Moisture Surge™ Active Glow Serum!
