What is your title and how long have you been with The Estée Lauder Companies?
I am the Data, Insights & Analytics Director, Enterprise Marketing. I have been with The Estée Lauder Companies since August 2016.
How do you describe your current job to someone outside the beauty industry?
I am responsible for leading and developing the data, insights, analytics, and customer relationship management (CRM) roadmap for the UK&I region. It’s a really varied role that enables me to work across all our brand teams, as well as with key functional stakeholders across the region and globally. My team and I ensure that relevant trends and insights about our consumers are being provided to our brands on a regular basis to deliver personalised and effective campaigns. We also measure the effectiveness of our campaigns and the impact on consumer behaviours in the long run, identifying new opportunities, consumer groups, and trends that might not even be in our market yet.
What excites you about coming to work every day?
What excites me the most about working here is the passion that everyone has for the brands and the company—something I noticed even from my very first day. It is very rare to be in a company where you are surrounded by so many smart people who are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the industry and, most of all, enjoy coming into work every day.
How would you describe the culture at The Estée Lauder Companies to your friends and family?
It is an infectious, positive environment, which ultimately makes most days enjoyable and fulfilling.
What opportunities for learning and development have you been offered at ELC?
A fantastic element of working at ELC is the opportunities I have been given to learn and develop from within my role. Be it transferable skills like leadership or public speaking, or technical skills like CRM, Online Analytics, or Data Analysis, it has been great to have the opportunity to learn on the job even later in my career.
