Dear Stakeholders,
At The Estée Lauder Companies, social impact and sustainability are embedded in how we create value for consumers, strengthen our brands, and contribute to a more resilient future. Our efforts to drive positive impact and deliver on consumer expectations are integral to the strategic vision of Beauty Reimagined.
I am pleased to share our Fiscal 2026 Social Impact & Sustainability Report, reflecting the continued evolution of our strategy and progress toward our 2030 ambition. Our focus is on translating sustainability insights into action, understanding what matters most to consumers, informing product development and innovation, strengthening transparency and claims, and helping our brands deliver experiences that build relevance and trust.
We are expanding how we assess the environmental impacts of our products across formulation, sourcing, packaging, and product transparency. As part of this work, we established a 2030 goal to evaluate 100% of our products using a life-cycle assessment and eco-design approach. Our packaging strategy considers recyclability, refillable and reusable formats, recycled content, responsibly sourced paper, and reduced reliance on virgin petroleum-based plastic—while balancing consumer preferences, product quality, brand equity, retailer expectations, and operational feasibility.
Our environmental initiatives also support a stronger and more resilient business. We maintained 100% renewable electricity across our direct operations and continued advancing efforts to reduce emissions while aiming to improve operational and cost efficiencies. We also strengthened our focus on reducing water withdrawals at direct manufacturing sites and waste across our direct manufacturing and distribution operations.
Our commitment to people and communities remains central to our work. Through our brands and The Estée Lauder Companies Charitable Foundation, we continue to support women and girls, with a commitment to invest $50 million by 2030. Our employees also contribute through giving and volunteering, while we remain focused on creating a safe and supportive workplace.
I am grateful to our employees and partners whose creativity, expertise, and commitment make this work possible. Together, we will continue to focus our resources where they can have the greatest impact and create lasting value for our consumers, people, communities, and business.
Sincerely,
Nancy Mahon
