Stéphane de La Faverie, President and Chief Executive Officer

Stéphane de La Faverie

Stéphane de La Faverie is President and Chief Executive Officer of The Estée Lauder Companies, and a member of the company's Board of Directors. He assumed the President and CEO position in January 2025, and is responsible for the company’s strategy, financial objectives, and investment priorities, while shaping a forward-thinking vision for the company’s future. With more than 25 years of experience in prestige beauty, Stéphane has an outstanding track record of building and leading global brands and a comprehensive understanding of global markets, local relevance, and consumer dynamics. As President and CEO, Stéphane is focused on building on ELC’s storied legacy while continuing to define its position as a global leader in prestige beauty.

Stéphane joined ELC in 2011, and most recently served as Executive Group President where he oversaw a diverse portfolio of brands – from billion-dollar-plus brands such as Estée Lauder, to scaling and developing brands including The Ordinary and Le Labo. Throughout his time at the company, Stéphane has demonstrated an uncompromising focus on brand excellence and innovation across categories, geographies, and channels, as well as an ability to deliver profitability with discipline, speed, and efficiency.

During his leadership of the Estée Lauder brand from 2016 to 2022, Stéphane harnessed growth opportunities, including hero products, digital-first and data-led marketing, new technologies, and high-growth channels. These strategies enabled the brand to engage a diverse consumer base and led it to become a top brand among Chinese consumers. He has also played an instrumental role in enhancing ELC’s fragrance portfolio during a pivotal moment for the category, adeptly navigating industry shifts and evolving consumer behaviors to create a powerful engine of growth. Stéphane has also shepherded and scaled smaller brands including the integration and expansion of industry disruptor, The Ordinary, as part of ELC’s acquisition of DECIEM.

Stéphane’s strength as an inclusive and empathic leader and his ability to balance emotional inspiration, authenticity, and strategic insights to drive long-term, sustainable growth, have helped him successfully build his portfolio of brands and nurture a winning leadership team. As President and CEO, Stéphane is deeply committed to fostering a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and sustainability at ELC.

Prior to joining The Estée Lauder Companies, Stéphane served as General Manager, Giorgio Armani USA, a division of L'Oréal Paris. He began his career with the Lancôme Global brand in Paris, then joined the Travel Retail division as Area Manager for the Luxury Products Group, North America, overseeing the Lancôme, Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren and Biotherm beauty brands.

Stéphane was educated at ESC Bordeaux Business School, and speaks fluent French, English, and Spanish. 

Michael Bowes, Executive Vice President, Chief People Officer

Michael Bowes

Michael Bowes is Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer, a position he assumed in April 2025. Mr. Bowes oversees all areas of Global Human Resources, including talent management, career development and organizational design, and, with a people-focused mindset, will drive the organization forward by focusing on continuous culture building.

Since joining the company in 2015, Mr. Bowes has led Global Talent Acquisition and end-to-end Talent Management, guiding the recruitment, retention, and development its expansive workforce. He and his team have successfully implemented a new internal talent marketplace, employee listening surveys, and leadership development programs. His commitment to supporting individual growth and fostering an inclusive culture is evident through his work with various programs and mentorship initiatives.

During his time with the company, Mr. Bowes has personally demonstrated this commitment through sponsoring programs including From Every Chair and Leading with High Touch, being active in the Reverse Mentor program, and promoting opportunities and development for many team members within HR. His leadership has strengthened ELC’s commitment to fostering an agile, collaborative, and connected workplace.

Before joining ELC, Mr. Bowes was a Managing Director of Executive Search at Karen Harvey Consulting. He also held significant roles in Talent Management and as an HR Business Partner at Coach, Nike, Tommy Hilfiger, Cole Haan, and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Mr. Bowes holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University at Albany, SUNY.

Roberto Canevari, Executive Vice President, Chief Value Chain Officer

Roberto Canevari

Roberto Canevari is Executive Vice President, Chief Value Chain Officer, which he assumed in 2025. In this role, Mr. Canevari oversees the Global Value Chain operations, which includes global Manufacturing, Fulfillment, Planning, Supplier Management, Quality, Environment, Health & Safety, and Region and Brand Value Chains across all channels and geographies. In 2025, he also added Packaging and Engineering to his responsibilities to enhance synergies across the end-to-end value chain. Mr. Canevari, a member of the company’s Executive Team, is a supply chain expert who has successfully led and transformed the end-to-end supply chain organizations of several global companies. In addition to being a highly experienced and innovative expert in his field, Mr. Canevari has a passion for driving an organization’s culture and values. He is a collaborative and inspirational leader, with a unique ability to connect the dots across brands, functions and regions to drive meaningful transformation across the value chain.

Mr. Canevari is responsible for overseeing the company's integrated Global Supply Chain. He oversees the development and implementation of innovative strategies and solutions that are designed to meet and exceed the demands of the company's global customers and consumers, while partnering closely with internal and external stakeholders to leverage emerging trends, drive innovation and continuously improve processes. He and the organization he leads partner closely with the Global R&D organization to strengthen the company's value chain and consistently maximize total quality and value. In addition, building on the company’s long-term, outstanding relationships with global suppliers, he strengthens and strategically evolves partnership models, prioritizing safety, sustainability and responsible sourcing to continue to create luxurious beauty products. He also serves on the boards of Zero100, London Business School, Boom, and the Baratta Center at Georgetown University.

Prior to joining The Estée Lauder Companies, Mr. Canevari served as Executive Vice President of Supply Chain, Europe at Unilever PLC. During his tenure, he oversaw end-to-end supply chain operations for the company’s European business and was responsible for a team of more than 10,000 employees and 44 factories with production across the food, home and personal care categories. Prior to his time with Unilever, Mr. Canevari served in several executive supply chain roles of increasing responsibility at companies such as Burberry Group PLC, Carrefour SA, Nestlé Water and Reckitt Benckiser PLC.

 

Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Executive Vice President, Chief Brand Officer

Jane Hertzmark Hudis

Jane Hertzmark Hudis is Executive Vice President, Chief Brand Officer. A highly respected leader in the beauty industry, Ms. Hertzmark Hudis is responsible for shaping and advancing the company’s world-class portfolio of brands across key categories, including Skin Care, Makeup, Fragrance, Hair Care and Couture. She leads enterprise-wide brand strategy.

Throughout her 39-year tenure with the company, Ms. Hertzmark Hudis has built a reputation as a visionary brand-builder, driving innovation, creativity, and exceptional global growth. Her expertise spans brand marketing, product development, digital transformation, and talent elevation. She is widely recognized for leading the turnaround and modernization of Estée Lauder, the company’s flagship brand, delivering remarkable results across geographies and generations.

Starting in 2016, Ms. Hertzmark Hudis has been responsible for a powerful portfolio of brands, first as Group President and, later, as the first woman to be named Executive Group President at ELC in 2020. She has played a critical role in developing and scaling brands globally, fostering breakthrough innovation, and driving category leadership. A true globalist, Ms. Hertzmark Hudis understands the nuances of local consumers, ensuring that each brand resonates authentically in diverse markets while maintaining its identity.

A passionate advocate for leadership development, inclusion, and diversity, Ms. Hertzmark Hudis co-founded ELC’s Women’s Leadership Network (WLN) in 2017 to inspire and support women across the organization. WLN has since grown into ELC’s largest employee resource group.

Ms. Hertzmark Hudis serves on the Board of the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) Foundation and is an honorary member of FIT’s Executive Committee of the Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing and Management Graduate Program. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), which in partnership with ELC, has raised over $100 million for life-saving breast cancer research.

Recognized among Fairchild Media Group’s “50 Most Powerful Women” in 2021, Ms. Hertzmark Hudis has received numerous industry honors, including the FIT Vanguard Award, the WWD Beauty Inc. Beauty Newsmaker Award, and the CEW Achiever Award.

She holds a B.A. from Vassar and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.

Rashida La Lande, Executive Vice President and General Counsel

Rashida La Lande

Rashida La Lande is Executive Vice President and General Counsel at The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC), where she leads the company’s global Legal organization. In her role, Ms. La Lande acts as a strategic advisor to ELC’s leadership and Board of Directors on global legal issues, and oversees legal strategy, practices, and policies.

Her responsibilities extend to overseeing ELC's Global Privacy Office and Global Security Team, making her a critical partner in guiding the organization through a wide range of legal matters, including corporate strategies, compliance, risk mitigation, governance, and business transactions. Additionally, she leads the company’s legal review of potential acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.

Before joining ELC, Ms. La Lande held several leadership roles at The Kraft Heinz Company, including Executive Vice President and Global Chief Legal and Corporate Affairs Officer. Earlier in her career, Ms. La Lande was a partner at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where she practiced from 2000 to 2018. She began her legal journey at Chadbourne & Parke LLP.

Ms. La Lande holds a Bachelor of Arts in African American Studies from Harvard University and a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School in New York City.

Ronald S. Lauder, Chairman, Clinique Laboratories, LLC

Ronald S. Lauder

Ronald S. Lauder is the younger son of Estée and Joseph Lauder and, like his brother, Leonard, learned the family business at the dinner table. He formally joined the company in 1964, beginning his career in the Oevel, Belgium factory. His executive roles began when he became General Manager of Clinique Laboratories in 1985, and he has served as Chairman since 1995. Mr. Lauder was instrumental in the creation of Prescriptives and served as Chairman of Estée Lauder International from 1987 to 2002. He also served as a member of The Estée Lauder Companies’ Board of Directors from 1968 to 1986 and 1988 to 2009. He was re-elected to the Board in November 2016.

In 1983, Mr. Lauder took a leave from The Estée Lauder Companies to serve in the U.S. Pentagon as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for European and NATO Affairs. In 1986, he was appointed Ambassador to Austria by President Ronald Reagan. Upon his return from Vienna in 1987, he established the Ronald S. Lauder Foundation, which now has 35 Jewish schools, kindergartens and summer camps throughout 15 countries in Eastern Europe. Over 7,500 children attend these schools today, and 2,500 children attend the summer camps. Over the years, the Foundation has educated more than 30,000 children in a region that was devoid of Jewish scholarship and has helped build thriving Jewish communities throughout this area. Mr. Lauder also created an International Student Exchange Program between Jewish high school students in New York and Vienna.

In addition to his international interests, Mr. Lauder has long been committed to civic causes and public policy issues at home. A political activist on the state and national level, he was a contender for Mayor of New York City in 1989.

In June 2007, Mr. Lauder was elected to lead the World Jewish Congress, and has served as the organization’s President ever since. In this capacity, Mr. Lauder meets with heads of countries, diplomats and religious leaders, representing Jewish communities in 100 countries around the world.

In February of 1999, Mr. Lauder was elected Chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. His selection by the Conference followed his election in 1997 as President of the Jewish National Fund of which he now serves as Chairman.

Mr. Lauder also serves as Chairman of the International Public Committee of the World Jewish Restitution Organization; Chairman of the Auschwitz-Birkenau Foundation Committee; Chairman of the Jewish Heritage Council; Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Sakharov Archives at Brandeis University; Director of the International Board of Governors of the International Society for Yad Vashem; and is a member of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council, the Board of Directors of the Jewish Theological Seminary; the Board of Directors of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee; the Board of Trustees of the Anti-Defamation League Foundation; the International Auschwitz Council; and the International Board of Governors of the Tel Aviv Museum.

Mr. Lauder is the Founder and Chairman of the New York based Water Holding Group RWL Water, LLC, an international water company. He is also Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Joseph H. Lauder Institute of Management and International Studies at the University of Pennsylvania. In 1998, Mr. Lauder co-founded the Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation together with his brother, Leonard A. Lauder. They serve together as co-Chairmen of the Foundation.

A renowned art collector, Mr. Lauder has established one of the world’s greatest private collections. He was Chairman of the Museum of Modern Art from 1995 to 2005 and now serves as the museum’s Honorary Chairman. In 2001, he established the Neue Galerie New York, of which he is President. The museum is dedicated to German and Austrian art. Mr. Lauder established the Commission for Art Recovery in 1997, which advocates and fights for the recovery of Nazi looted art.

Among his honors, Mr. Lauder received the International Emmy Directorate Award by the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 2006. He received, together with his wife, Jo Carole Lauder, the Andrew Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy in 2011, and in 2013, Mr. Lauder was named an Officier de la Légion d’Honneur by President Hollande of France. He was decorated with Germany’s highest honor, the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Merit, in 2015 and was awarded the Guardian of Zion prize by the Ingeborg Rennert Center for Jerusalem Studies at Bar Ilan University in 2016. Mr. Lauder also received honorary doctoral degrees from Ben Gurion University in 2009 and from Yeshiva University in 2011.

Mr. Lauder was born on February 26, 1944. He graduated from the Bronx High School of Science in New York and holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He studied at the University of Paris and received a Certificate in International Business from the University of Brussels. Mr. Lauder married Jo Carole Knopf in July of 1967. They have two children and two grandchildren. The family resides in New York City.

Akhil Shrivastava, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Akhil Shrivastava

Akhil Shrivastava is the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC), overseeing the company’s Global Finance, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, and New Business Development organizations. Recognized for his strategic leadership, Mr. Shrivastava drives ELC’s financial strategy, prioritizing value creation, innovation, agility, and consumer-centric outcomes.

With over 25 years of experience in financial leadership, Mr. Shrivastava has driven global financial operations and transformative initiatives for several prestige and luxury brands. And since joining ELC in 2015, he has held many pivotal roles. Most recently, as Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller, Mr. Shrivastava was responsible for Corporate Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis, and the Operational Excellence pillar of ELC’s multi-year Profit Recovery and Growth Plan.

Mr. Shrivastava has also held senior leadership positions, including ELC’s Treasurer, and led global finance and strategy for a brand portfolio including Estée Lauder, La Mer, and Aveda. His strategic insights facilitated the identification of and investment behind growth opportunities across categories, geographies, and channels.

Prior to joining ELC, Mr. Shrivastava spent 18 years at Procter & Gamble, where he held various global finance and leadership roles, including Finance Director for Gillette North America.

Mr. Shrivastava holds a Master of Finance and Control from Delhi University and a degree in engineering from Rewa Engineering College. He has lived and worked in India, Thailand, Singapore, and the United States, where he is currently based.

Meridith Webster, Executive Vice President, Global Communications and Public Affairs

Meridith Webster

Meridith Webster is Executive Vice President, Global Communications and Public Affairs at The Estée Lauder Companies, a position she assumed in 2021. In this role, Ms. Webster leads the company’s communications and public affairs strategies, advancing and protecting its business interests and corporate reputation globally, while strengthening relationships to drive value for key stakeholders. She also serves as a strategic advisor to the company’s senior leadership on a variety of critical topics.

A highly talented and respected leader, Ms. Webster has an exceptional background across business, government, media, and philanthropy. She joins ELC from the Biden White House, where she served as Special Assistant to the President and Chief of Staff to the Domestic Policy Council. In the Obama Administration, she served as Senior Advisor to White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and Deputy Chief of Staff to Susan Rice, then the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.

Prior to serving in the Biden Administration, Ms. Webster served as Vox Media’s first-ever Chief Communications Officer, overseeing strategic communications and media relations across a growing and successful modern media company. While at Vox Media, Ms. Webster led the communications for the company’s merger with New York Media, among other notable accomplishments. Ms. Webster also served in several roles at Bloomberg L.P. and Bloomberg Philanthropies, including as the Global Head of Public Affairs, where she oversaw climate and public health communications and public affairs campaigns as well as strategic communications initiatives for the company.

Ms. Webster began her career working at the Clinton White House and the U.S. State Department before earning her law degree at Georgetown University Law Center.
