ELC Responds to California Wildfires
Company Feature, Nov 21, 2018
At The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) our commitment to caring for our employees and the communities in which we live and work, especially in times of need, is integral to our values. The company’s deepest thoughts and concerns are with our employees, partners and communities that have been affected by the California wildfires.
The Estée Lauder Companies has donated $100,000 to support disaster recovery programs in the areas impacted by the fires, which will be allocated across the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, California Fire Foundation, and The American Red Cross. Additional monetary support has been provided by LA-based brands GLAMGLOW and Smashbox to local and regional relief efforts, and by The M.A.C AIDS Fund, through its long-standing partner Project Angel Food, which will provide meals for families and individuals impacted by the fires in southern California.
Origins will make an incremental donation to its long-standing partner, American Forests, a nonprofit conservation organization that advocates for the protection and expansion of forests globally. Origins additional commitment will impact reforestation efforts in the areas currently being affected by the California wildfires.
ELC takes pride in how quickly its employees responded with an outpouring of support in light of these wildfires. The company will be double-matching employee donations through its U.S. Good Works program (through the end of December) to the following organizations providing relief in areas impacted: Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, California Fire Foundation, The American Red Cross, Feeding America, and the Humane Society of Ventura County. ELC Good Works will also continue to match dollar-for-dollar any employee donations to other eligible non-profits via its Good Works program.
