New York, NEW YORK, September 27, 2024— The Estée Lauder Companies (ELC) was named to Seramount’s 2024 list of Top 80 Companies for Executive Women for the 6th consecutive year.
Seramount’s data compiled the most definitive list of top workplaces for women in the U.S. who are advancing through the corporate ranks. It celebrates companies that champion women’s achievements, with a focus on succession planning, profit-and-loss roles, gender-pay parity, support, and flexibility programs.

Advancing Possibilities: Women’s Advancement at ELC
- Globally, nearly 80% of our workforce are women. In addition, 59% of VP positions and above, and 46% of Global SVP positions and above, are held by women
- Women make up nearly half of our Board of Directors
- In fiscal 2023, women earned 99.2% of what comparably positioned men earned globally for employees across R&D, Supply Chain (including Manufacturing and Distribution), other Corporate Functions, Brands, and Regions (except for point-of-sale and non-discretionary pay populations)
- Since its launch in 2020, our signature women’s leadership program Open Doors has built critical skills for success and an unrivaled sense of community with peers and senior leaders for women in more than 15 countries
- Women lead all 6 of our global Research and Development Innovation Centers, with more than 60% of ELC scientists, engineers, and technical professionals being women
- The Women’s Leadership Network (WLN) and its subgroups, Women in Supply Chain and Women in Technology, are dedicated to engaging and encouraging women in the Company to identify and achieve their goals. WLN has more than 2,440 members globally
- In fiscal 2023, we spent $162 million with women-owned businesses—exceeding our goal of increasing women-owned business spend to $150 million by fiscal 2025

Methodology
The 2024 Top 80 Companies for Executive Women application includes 211 questions on pertinent topics, including women representation at all levels, but focuses on the corporate officer and profit-and-loss leadership ranks. The application, based on 2023 data, tracks and examines how many employees have access to programs and policies that promote advancement of women and how many women employees take advantage of them, as well as how companies train managers to help women advance. To be considered, companies must have a minimum of 2 women on their boards of directors and at least 500 US employees.
