We started with a simple truth: if makeup can hold up in the studio, it can handle anything. When photographer Davis Factor opened Smashbox Studios in 1990, it quickly became a hub for L.A.’s creative scene. The energy on set was nonstop—but the makeup? It melted, faded, smudged. It simply couldn’t keep up.
Smashbox Cosmetics was born to change that. We create high-performance formulas built to perform in every moment – on and off camera. Our makeup is studio-tested, real-life ready, and made to move with you.
