Brian Franz is Chief Technology & Transformation Officer at The Estée Lauder Companies, where he leads the company’s ongoing, enterprise-wide transformation to drive revenue and improve productivity, while overseeing the global Technology, Data & Analytics organization.
Mr. Franz is focused on transforming how the company operates and continuously improves, leading initiatives that drive growth, enhance productivity, and build a faster, simpler, and more connected organization. His responsibilities include accelerating AI-enabled processes, strengthening technology capabilities, driving next-generation ways of working, and continuing to operationalize the company’s Enterprise Business Services program. He also oversees The Estée Lauder Companies’ global technology ecosystem, including Corporate Technology, Consumer Technology, AI & Data, and Cybersecurity, with a focus on delivering more seamless and personalized digital experiences for consumers and harnessing data as a strategic asset to drive faster, smarter decisions across the enterprise.
Mr. Franz joined The Estée Lauder Companies in April 2025 as Chief Technology, Data & Analytics Officer, and took on his expanded role in September 2026. Since joining the company, Mr. Franz has advanced the company’s strategic technology agenda, including its global partnership with Shopify to strengthen its omnichannel commerce foundation and support seamless consumer experiences. He has also been instrumental in launching the company’s partnership with Accenture, which simplifies shared services through greater standardization and scale.
Prior to joining The Estée Lauder Companies, Mr. Franz served as Executive Vice President, Global Chief Information Officer and Head of Enterprise Resiliency at State Street, where he led global technology, enterprise resiliency, and data. Previously, he held senior leadership roles at Diageo PLC, including Chief Productivity Officer and CIO, and served as CIO at PepsiCo International. Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at GE, including GE Capital, and AT&T.
Mr. Franz holds a master’s degree from New York University and a bachelor’s degree from Iona College.
